Make positive change in your community

Education gives you the power to make positive change. At Tranby, you will learn relevant, culturally meaningful skills and knowledge that you can take back to your Mob to apply and share, and together, strengthen your community.

Culturally safe and supportive

We understand that returning to study as an adult can be challenging and not everyone’s learning journey will be the same. Adult education is about lifelong learning.

Tranby’s dedicated student support team are here to assist you with completing your studies. They’ll answer your questions and help you keep on track with your course progression, with care and focus on your individual learning journey.

The Student Support page on our learning portal has information on study skills, access to other support services and your course Facebook group.

You can connect with your trainer for one-to-one academic support and with our Cultural Mentors and Elders in Residence for cultural support and guidance.

Flexible and convenient study

Our courses may be offered online or in person (‘Block Release’). Our online courses include live, weekly Q&A sessions where you can connect with your classmates, your trainer and guest speakers to discuss course content and ask questions.

Each live Q&A session is recorded so you can watch these again at any time, through to the end of your course. These live weekly sessions are a valuable part of your course and connection with your student community from all around Australia.

Our ‘Block Release’ courses include one-week study blocks several times throughout the year where you travel to our historic campus on Gadigal country in Glebe, Sydney. In between each study block you will access and work through your course materials via our learning portal.

All the materials for Tranby courses are held in our learning portal. Learning materials include readings, interviews with subject matter experts, supplementary resources such as links to websites, videos, podcasts and articles all curated for each Module of study.

Anywhere you can access the internet, you can access your course materials, anytime. You can also download text-based materials to your computer for viewing offline.

The learning component of your course is self-paced. Nationally recognised qualifications require you to successfully complete assessments. We provide due dates for assessment submission to help you keep you on track with your course progression.

Tranby is responsible for the quality of the training and assessment in compliance with the Standards for RTOs, 2015 and for the issuance of the AQF certification documentation.
