Educate

For over 65 years, we have transformed the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our approach to education empowers Mob through Aboriginal ways of being, knowing and doing.

We offer training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples over 18 years of age, and our students come from around Australia. Our circular and virtual classrooms, designed to make learning inclusive, are filled with people of diverse ages, from 18-year-olds to those in their 60s. We are proud of the valuable learning environment this creates.

By studying with Tranby, you can get the right skills and knowledge to build a stronger career and help empower your community. Check out our courses.

Make positive change in your community

Education gives you the power to make positive change. At Tranby, you will learn relevant, culturally meaningful skills and knowledge that you can take back to your Mob to apply and share, and together, strengthen your community.

Culturally safe and supportive

We take cultural care seriously. While you study at Tranby, our dedicated team will support you to complete your studies, answer your questions, help you keep on track with your course progression, and assist you with achieving your learning goals.

You will also be connected with our Tranby Elders in residence, who provide vital cultural support and guidance.

Flexible and convenient study

Our courses are delivered both online and in person (‘Block Release’), giving you flexibility to choose the most convenient method for you, depending on availability. Our online learning includes virtual classrooms, Elder support, engaging resources and self-paced study. Alternatively, you can enrol in ‘Block Release’ learning, which is a block of time that you travel to Tranby, allowing you to attend in-person classes and study on campus at our historic campus in Glebe, Sydney.

Tranby is responsible for the quality of the training and assessment in compliance with the Standards for RTOs, 2015 and for the issuance of the AQF certification documentation.
