Tranby is delighted to announce an amazing scholarship opportunity for 4 of our current students.
The successful applicants will spend one week in Ubud, Bali where they will volunteer at the Bali Hati School. The work will primarily involve teaching young students, but may also extend to providing the organisation administrative assistance. Students will also be given the opportunity to engage in cultural activities with their fellow scholarship recipients.
This scholarship is a unique opportunity for students to experience community development and education organisations operating in other countries. Similar to Australia, vulnerable people and minority group members in Indonesia face numerous barriers in relation to accessing education and social support. The internship will allow students to actively engage with and evaluate an organisation working to eradicate these barriers. It is intended that the insights gained by students who participate in this program will be taken back and utilised in their own workplace and communities in Australia. Students who participate in this program will also return with an increased understanding of Indonesian culture.
