Australian Light Horse Centenary Project

Tranby was delighted to host the presentation to 12 recipients of The Rona Tranby Trust’s Australian Light Horse Centenary Project. This project will record the stories of Indigenous Light Horsemen who served in the Middle East during World War I, as told by their descendants.

It was a great and proud day for the descendants attending. They will be travelling to Beersheba in Israel to participate in the commemorations of the Centenary of the Battle of Beersheba on 31 October 2017 and saddle up to participate in the re-enactment of the Australian Light Horse charge.
